Toys are funny things. There are lots of different categories of toys – you can sort them by age, sex, educational goals, etc. And every year there are thousands of new toys with new designs, ideas, methods. New cartoon characters, television shows, new talking animals in movies that will clamor for your kids attention (and your wallet!).
But any parent will tell you that all of those snazzy, high-tech toys? Yeah, our kids don’t play with them. Maybe for the first hour or the first day or the first week. But as soon as the batteries run out, or they can’t figure out how to make it sing the song they like, it gets discarded and forgotten about. The toys that get the coveted space on the arts & crafts table or, at the very least on the top of the pile, are the classics. And it doesn’t get more classic than blocks.
Even blocks have become very commercial. They come in all shapes and sizes, some play music, some light up – but the ones that keep their attention are the plain blocks. And it doesn’t get much better than CitiBlocs! I did a review of CitiBlocs a few months back, but they’re something that everyone asks about in Anna’s playroom and something that she plays with constantly, so I’m thrilled to be able to bring them to your attention again! Hey, even my husband can’t stop playing with them!
CitiBlocs are precisely cut Grade A Radiata Pine from certified renewable forests in New Zealand. They have no glue, connectors, snaps – just plain old gravity, balance and imagination! Safe and non-toxic, CitiBlocs are the finest skill-building toy out there. Kids will sit there for hours building, knocking down, building again. It’s a great toy for siblings to play with, too – there are plenty of blocks for more than one kid to play at the same time.
CitiBlocs also can grow with your family! Start out with a 52 piece set and graduate to larger sets to accommodate ever-growing imaginations! 200, 300, 500…even 1000 block sets are available through citiblocs.com.
WIN IT! One lucky winner will win a set of CitiBlocs – your choice of the 52 Piece Natural Set, 54 Piece Orange & Yellow, 54 Piece Black & White or the 54 Piece Turquoise & Green Set (ARV $17).
