When Adam and I went on our honeymoon we visited San Francisco and part of our tour of the city had to include the infamous Alcatraz Island.  I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but once the boat dropped us off at the dock on the Island we felt transported back to another world.   The grounds and prison are so starkly beautiful that it was sort of awe-inspiring to be standing on the notorious Rock.  We wandered around the prison and yard for a few hours and we were so grateful that this place had been so well-preserved that families could come and enjoy its history and legends.

To me, a family vacation at one of America’s National Parks is both a dream and a goal for us.  I think that visiting such history-rich sites as the Eisenhower National Historic Site or the Knife River Indian Villages makes learning our country’s history both simple and engaging.   But in order to ensure that these parks will be as well-preserved and beautiful for my grandchildren and their grandchildren, we need to act now and put our money where our mouths are.  Thankfully, Coca-Cola is setting a wonderful example by teaming up with The National Parks Foundation and giving us the perfect opportunity to give back to a great cause while earning some cool stuff with your regular Coca-Cola product purchases!
